Blue Steel Racing was proud to support the recent Zeekr Owners' Track Day at Sepang International Circuit, delivering an immersive sim racing activation that allowed participants to experience the excitement of motorsport both on and off the track.
As automotive events continue to evolve beyond traditional showcases, interactive experiences have become an important way to engage enthusiasts. For this event, Blue Steel Racing provided a complete sim racing solution designed to entertain participants, encourage competition, and extend the thrill of the circuit into the digital world.
Custom Zeekr-Themed Racing Content
One of the highlights of the activation was the development of Zeekr vehicle content created specifically for the event. Rather than using generic in-game cars, Blue Steel Racing produced highly detailed custom vehicle models designed to closely replicate the real Zeekr vehicles featured at the track day.
Using reference materials and vehicle specifications, our team recreated the cars as accurate 1:1 digital models within the simulation environment, capturing key design elements and visual details to ensure an authentic experience for participants.
To further enhance the activation, we designed exclusive Zeekr-themed liveries incorporating brand colours, event graphics, and sponsor elements. This gave attendees the opportunity to drive a race-ready version of the vehicle that was unique to the event.
The branding extended beyond the cars themselves. Custom trackside banners and digital billboards featuring Zeekr branding were integrated throughout the virtual circuit, transforming the simulator environment into a fully branded motorsport experience and creating a seamless connection between the real-world event and the digital racing environment.
Delivering a Turnkey Sim Racing Activation
To create a professional and engaging racing experience, Blue Steel Racing supplied three racing simulator rigs, offering attendees the opportunity to test their skills in a realistic virtual racing environment.
Our team handled the complete transportation, setup, and event logistics process, ensuring all equipment was installed, calibrated, and fully operational ahead of the event. This allowed the organizers to focus on delivering an exceptional experience for Zeekr owners while we managed the technical execution.
Dedicated On-Site Support
Throughout the event, Blue Steel Racing staff were stationed at the simulator area to assist participants, manage simulator operations, and maintain a smooth participant flow.
From first-time sim racers to experienced enthusiasts, attendees were able to enjoy a seamless experience with support readily available whenever needed.
Competitive Action with Live Leaderboards
A key highlight of the activation was the implementation of Blue Steel Racing's leaderboard system, allowing participants to compete for the fastest lap times throughout the day.
The live rankings generated friendly competition among attendees, encouraging multiple attempts and creating an energetic atmosphere around the simulator area. Spectators and participants alike were able to follow the standings and celebrate the fastest drivers of the day.
Enhancing the Event Experience
To support the activation, Blue Steel Racing also supplied three television displays for live gameplay viewing and leaderboard presentation. These displays helped attract attention to the simulator area while allowing visitors to follow the action in real time.
In addition, we supplied 60 helmets for rental use, ensuring participants could enjoy a professional and accessible racing experience throughout the track day event.
